Is DropBG really free?

Yes. No credits, no watermark, no daily cap, no account. The site is supported by ads, which is why there is nothing to pay for.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The AI model downloads to your browser once and every image is processed on your own device. Open your browser's network tab while you use it: you will see the model download and nothing else.

Why is the first image slow?

The first run downloads the model, roughly 40 to 90 MB depending on your device. Your browser caches it, so the next images take a second or two. On a phone or a slow connection the first load can take a minute.

How good is the cutout?

Very good on people, products, pets and objects with a clear edge. Like every automatic tool, it is weakest on fine hair against a busy background, semi-transparent glass and thin wires. You get the full-resolution result to touch up if needed.

Is this a replacement for remove.bg?

What is Pro Mode, and when is it coming?
